Formed in February 2009, the Foundation for Curriculum Theory is a not-for-profit corporation which supports the creation, publication, and dissemination of curriculum scholarship. The Foundation upholds the objectives and values of its predecessor, the Corporation for Curriculum Research, in continuing to foster communities of discourse in which diverse viewpoints risk mutual transformation, where progressive scholars can challenge one another, thereby continually expanding the intellectual landscape of Curriculum Studies.

Mission

The Foundation functions primarily to:

Support the Conference on Curriculum Theory and Classroom Practice, an annual curriculum theory conference
Publish the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing, an online academic journal that contains original scholarly works of curriculum theory
Maintain JCT Online, a website to assist curriculum scholars in networking and sharing their ideas

The Foundation also provides grants, educational materials, communication tools, and other resources to curriculum scholars.
